| Check Out Our New Pet Health Blog | | We're leaning on our furry friends now more than ever, so what better time to create a Pet Health blog? The new offering, launched in late July, features one of our favorite veterinarians, Will Draper, DVM. Dr. Will writes weekly, on topics ranging from the practical, such as tips for visiting a vet during the pandemic, to an emotional account of saying goodbye to a beloved furry friend. | | | | Get Medication Reminders from WebMD on Alexa | | With our new Alexa skill, WebMD can remind you when it's time to take your pills or medicine. It's easy to set up. Just enable the WebMD Med Reminders skill in your Alexa app and sign in with your WebMD account. Reminders sync to all your devices, including the WebMD app for your smartphone, so you always have the most current data. Don't have the WebMD app yet? Download it on the App Store now, or get it on Google Play. | | We're Helping Patients Access Free or Low-Cost Medications | | With millions of Americans facing financial hardship, WebMD is helping to connect patients with pharmaceutical assistance programs, which provide medications at low or no cost to those who cannot afford them. Patients will receive information about the program, Back to Care, automatically as part of patient education materials at a doctor's appointment or hospital discharge. "Many consumers aren't aware of the resources that may be able to support them in getting the healthcare they need," said John Whyte, M.D., WebMD's chief medical officer. "With Back to Care, they can find out what help may be available, so that they can continue to make their healthcare a priority." Back to Care is a collaboration with Krames, a clinical patient education platform and WebMD's sibling organization. | | | | |
